INFORMATION ABOUT THE CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

The Coronavirus (COVID -19) is spreading across the world as a pandemic. Despite the current situation we assure you that all employees and guests remain our top priority. We are, as always, doing all that we can to provide and offer a safe and welcoming space and destination. Hotel Amalias Hus is currently operating as usual and we want you to feel confident in that we are taking all necessary measures and precautions to minimize the risk of infection and spread of the virus. 

 

Given the current development of the Covid-19 virus in Sweden and abroad, we are closely monitoring the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization and the Swedish health authorities’ recommendations.

What precautions and actions we take in order to minimize the risk of infection: 

• We are working constantly to ensure the latest advice on hygiene and cleaning are met. Besides our ordinary cleaning routine, we are focusing on cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces including door handles.

• We keep our employees informed about the current situation and regarding the importance of personal hygiene to reduce the risk of any infection, regardless of character, and to be observant of symptoms linked to Covid-19

• We have increased the use of antibacterial spray and hand sanitizer in both public and back of house areas.

• Disposable hand sanitizers are provided in every guest room.

• We limit access to the hotel from non-residents

• We have reduced the amount of tables in our restaurant to be make sure our guests can dine with us securely distanced from each other according to WHO's recommendations.

• We offer guests in-room dining for both dinner and breakfast. Please note that an extra service charge of 150 SEK per person will be added to your bill for every meal ordered through room service. This service is only available on certain times of the day which are set in reference to other seating times in the dining room as well as the total amount of guests at the hotel. 

• We continously and carefully follow the recommendations and restrictions issued by the health authorities and update our procedures accordingly.

• Our belief is that awareness and hospitality are even more important in times like this and we are ready to take any further actions to protect our guests’ safety.
